The aim of the activity is to promote in students active citizenship through the stories of women and men who have chosen to act for the common good and have been ranked among the Righteous of Mankind. By active citizenship we mean the awareness of the principles that guide an ethically responsible act of solidarity.

This is even more significant in this historic moment when Europe is threatened by a new war and the violation of human rights; the memory of good deeds, narrated through the actions of the Righteous women and men who in all genocides, totalitarianisms and crimes against humanity have been committed and are committed to saving lives and to defend human dignity. Their lives have an important educational function because they rescue from oblivion behaviors that can become examples of “good practice".

Through the creation of papers on the theme of the Righteous, the activity aims to solliciting multidisciplinary paths that stimulate collaboration and exchange between students. The use of new technologies as a means of expanding the message of the Righteous as much as possible will make it possible for the students to gain knowledge and insight into the biographies and stories of the Righteous.
