• To make sure that students master Pythagora's theorem, understand its meaning and learn how to use it in mathematical problem solving. 
• In addition, an equally important aim is to learn to collaborate, express their opinion freely, research and team working in order to produce an artefact and present it.

• Students become aware of how geometry helps solve “real life” problems.
• To make presentations of their solutions and of the proof of the P. theorem to other students.
• To include others by explaining to their peers when someone needs help and they  will improve their communication & collaboration skills.
• To acquire knowledge through discovery.

• learn how to identify a right triangle and, within it, the cathetuses and the hypotenuse
• understand  the statement a2+b2=c2 through an application of Geogebra;
• understand a graphical demonstration of the Pythagorean theorem (proof by rearrangement);
• learn how to apply the Pythagorean theorem to calculate the hypotenuse, knowing the cathetuses;
• learn how to apply the Pythagorean theorem to calculate one cathetus, knowing the hypotenuse and the other cathetus;
• learn how to apply the Pythagorean theorem in real life problems;
• learn to create problems requiring the Pythagorean Theorem;
• they will learn how to compute the area of a right angle triangle;
• they will learn to use digital tools, like Geogebra, to create content on the topic.
