The California State University and MERLOT have partnered to showcase how and why faculty have adopted Open Educational Resources (OER) to facilitate equitable access to their students' course materials.  This Faculty Showcase represents Open Educational Practices where faculty are sharing their "know-how" for adopting OER in their courses.  

This open textbook is being utilized in a Kinesiology course (Statistics in Kinesiology) for undergraduate students by Dr. Sarah L. Dunn at the CSU, San Bernardino on the Palm Desert Campus. The open textbook provides statistical analysis concepts and the IClickers offer an active learning component to engage students in the classroom. The main motivation to adopt an open textbook was to provide a free option for students and to lower the financial burden when taking undergraduate classes. Students typically access the open textbook through the CSUSB Pfau Library and visit the IClickers website for free access to the institutional site license software.
