Open Educational Resources (OERs) are teaching, learning and research materials which are free to access and openly licensed.

OERs can be in any format, including online courses, textbooks (see right), activities and games, videos and software. In many cases OERs are built on the findings of open research, and should be similarly licensed to maximise their usability.
