Appreciating Teachers

Good education is incomplete without good teacher who inspire students to think and create while also teaching them to be caring individuals. The best teachers, however are ones who motivate, encourage and ignite the habit of self-learning among students. The role of teachers as mentors is also deeply personal, as kind and understanding teacher s and theirs lessons stay with students for a lifetime. These students aspir to become as good humans as theirs teachers were or wanted them to be.

In this context, the role of teachers in a society in the upbringing of it's future generations also plays a decisive role in the path to progress or otherwise. Robert Frost, an American poet, once said, "Iam not a teacher but an awakener".

It is the selfles service of teachers that creates the sense of diligence of duty, right and wrong, shapes perspective of life and teaches children to become the future leaders, politicians, businessmen, judges, etc, who go on and lead the country.

I think we should not wait a whole Year to mark this day, and Express our gratitude and appreciation for our mentors. We are not just teachers, we are Managers of the world's greatest resources: children
