This is a peer-reviewed educational series of Reusable Learning Objects (RLOs) on Crowdsourced Geographic Information.

The first presentation gives an overview of crowdsourced geographic information and explains associated terminology.

The second presentation reviews common methods for collecting and accessing crowdsourced geographic information from data portals.

The third presentation covers one of three commonly used citizen science projects for field observations of plants and animals called eBird.

The fourth presentation covers two widely used citizen science projects called EDDMapS and iNaturalist. These projects facilitate crowdsourced field observations of plants and animals.

The final presentation provides an overview of crowdsourced geographic information across social media platforms. It explains the type of user-generated geographic information that can be extracted from Twitter, Foursquare, and Flickr social media platforms in different topic areas.
