Material Detail

This lesson provides a brief overview of Overdrive, its organizing systems, its partnership with libraries, and its relationship with the apps Libby and Sora. In addition, it explains the process to link a library card to Overdrive and download ebooks or audiobooks. The audience will have the chance to participate with polls gauging their familiarity with Overdrive, both before and after the presentation. At the end of this 10 minute lesson, participants will be able to link a library card to Overdrive and download materials. Additionally, they will be able to explain the linking process to someone else (such as a patron) and assist them with downloading materials. 

This lesson plan contains a set of slides with poll questions, a description of Overdrive, screenshots of its organizing systems, and a walkthrough of the linking process. A lesson plan draft is also included providing a template for the lesson and learning objectives.
