Simplify the course's content, structure, activities, and assignments in order to optimize the chances of success for your students. Just as many instructors are initially uncomfortable with teaching online, so are many students with taking an online course. Many of our students may be financially stressed during this time, and they may be unable to buy private access to computing and internet that could replace campus access. 

Review your expectations for student learning in order to focus on the most essential learning objectives at the module level and course level. This is the time to remove any objectives, content, activities, and assessments that are not essential - or to label these optional.
