The purpose of the plan is to: 1. explain how the current phase of globalization is similar to, and different from, the previous phase; 2. understand what is meant by the term ?capital flows;? 3. recognize the role played by international organizations in the current phase of globalization and 4. discuss how liberal economic ideas have led to an increase in world prosperity. Directions are provided as well as questions for discussion.
