Myers describes the testing effect and how to put it into practice using the SQ3R method. An important points that Myers makes is that we may sometimes fail when we test ourselves. This only enhances later retrieval, and we should not become discouraged if we are not always able to retrieve the information the first time because challenging and difficult tasks are great for learning.
