 This e-learning course is dedicated to advancing and promoting the awareness of beach safety and surf safety education to the wider community. This course has been designed for people with no prior knowledge about beach safety. The course takes approximately 1 hour to complete.  

The course consists of four (4) units and includes beach safety flags, beach signs, purpose of patrolled beaches, beach safety tips, common beach hazards, surf lifesavers and lifeguards, how to spot a rip current, sun safety, marine stingers and much more.   The course includes review questions, glossary, links to external websites, and useful resources.  

At the end of the course, learners have the option to download and attempt the assessment or use the document to informally assess their knowledge.   The e-learning course was built using Adobe Captivate 9, published as a HTML 5 course, and supported by audio.
