This is a really nice lesson! I liked that you linked the outside material you talked about in the lesson to the actual website. If I were a kid I would be really excited to do this project. My only suggestion is maybe consider doing final writing in Google Docs or a like program. If I am understanding correctly they are working in groups for this so it would make collaboration easier and it might help to overcome common difficulties related to handwriting and spelling.
