Auditory Demonstrations in Acoustics and Hearing Conservation is a series of auditory demonstrations that illustrate fundamental concepts in acoustics (e.g., frequency, sound level, tonal and broadband noise sources, A-weighting, octave band filtering, audiometric test frequencies, and simulated hearing loss demonstrations). Narration tracks alternate with signal tracks to allow the collection to be used in its entirety as a stand-alone lesson as well as a source of independent sound files.

The collection includes instructional material appropriate for classroom use as well as broadband noise for fitting hearing protectors, and industrial noise samples recorded at NASA Glenn Research Center by Telarc International Corporation. These GRC sound samples were originally recorded to produce sound effects for Telarc’s CD Symphonic Star Trek CD#80383 (1996).'
