This resource is a series of Powerpoint slides (and a list of further reading) on the rationale behind the design of drugs targetting proteins involved in the growth and spread of transformed cancer cells. It outlines the rationale behind anti-angiogenic therapy (with information on drugs currently available or undergoing clinical trials). It also gives a critical overview of the design of vectors used in delivery of therapeutic molecules to the target (ex-vivo and in-vivo strategies) and some examples of these.

It was created by Dr. Momna Hejmadi for her first and second year undergraduates in biosciences and the source file can be adapted for educational and non-commercial purposes only as licensed under the Creative Commons licence.
