At this website instructors of general chemistry can find a set of interactive, game-like 'electronic study aids' (ESAs) that have been created to support students who are learning and reviewing freshman (or first year) general chemistry.

The ESAs, which were created using the program StudyMate (Author, v2.0, from Respondus, Inc.) are provided as simple interactive Flash-based games in the five following formats: As 1) 'Flash Cards', which are the digital equivalent of traditional flash cards that students frequently create using index cards, 2) 'Quizzes', which are like the actual multiple choice questions that general chemistry students frequently encounter on their assessments, 3) 'Challenge Games', which are a Jeopardy-like games in which students can compete with eachother as they answer questions they select from a matrix of questions that are sorted according to subject area and difficulty, 4) 'Crosswords' and 5) 'Matching Games'.

On this website the ESAs are also available for free download in formats compatible with a number of portable small-screen devices, including iPhones and Sony Play Station Portable (PSP).  

These ESAs are organized according to chapter of 'Chemistry: The Central Science' by Brown, Lemay, Bursten and Murphy (Pearson Prentice Hall, 10th Ed.), which is the textbook currently being used across the entire freshman general chemistry program at Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, GA USA).
