This is a java app that shows a DNA sequence along with the mRNA and the protein that would be made from the DNA sequence. The user can introduce mutations anywhere in the sequence and immediately see the effect on the RNA and protein. Promoter, termination and splicing sites (if present) are all color coded. A user determined sequence can also be used in place of the default sequence. There is both a stand-alone java app that can be downloaded and a java file that can be embedded on a web page. The embedded app is potentially more useful for those that can do a little HTML coding as parameters such as the promoter sequence, etc., can all be modified.
