Kettering Industrial Ecology Team (KIET) is a multi-disciplinary group of faculty members that have developed and offered a new course called IME540 -Environmentally Conscious Design and Manufacturing. What makes KIET unique? Multi-disciplinary course topics Hands-on learning experiences Team-teaching approach covering a broad spectrum of disciplines Input from a broad spectrum of industrial partners Direct collaboration between students, faculty, administrators and professionals Development of an active student organization Put faculty from chemistry, industrial and mechanical engineering, business and liberal studies together and you will get an intense dialogue – one that has resulted in a learning experience like no other.
