This is a great site for getting students interested in maps. It can be used for those already familiar with maps and atlases, but is also great for an introductory into this subject area. This site talks about map history, the different kinds of maps, and how to use them. It also offers a great section on unusual and historical maps. There is also a graphic organizer section that can be printed off for student and teacher use.
