Xpedition is an interactive web based museum from National Geographic.  The site is formed around the Xpedition hall which is an interactive web museum consisting of six rooms; the Intro, The World in Spatial terms, Places and Regions, Physical Systems, Human Systems, Environmental and Society and The Uses of Geography.  Each site or “room” of the museum includes interactive maps, diagrams and text.  All of the links work quite smoothly and navigation is easy for a basic web user. Some links can be a little tricky and take some extra exploring to find additional information in the room which can make it fun playing with all the interactive “museum pieces”.   A little deeper into the site you will notice that each of the rooms in the museum include an option for lessons plans.  The lesson plans are divided into age groups ranging from K-12^th grade levels.  In the same directory you’ll also find text on the standards of the topic and well as some fun activities.  This is a great site for all ages and gives you very scientific view of many aspect to this world that most people either never notice or come to forget in these busy times.
