This site is very informative.  It gives several examples of how marine mammals are used in conjunction with the U.S. Navy.  It identifies several different capacities in which marine mammals can help in protecting our country.   Located on the site are also several pictures of the mammals in their working environment and how they are trained.  This site also links several hundred research programs that are currently available for the protection of marine mammals.  The site is very easy to navigate and provides up-to-date information.  In particular, there is a link that links you to the internship site and displays pictures of what occurs during an internship.
