STEPS is a student-built, faculty-led and administratively designed assessment system. The easy to use web-based interface supports the evaluation of course-embedded student work by both internal and external stakeholders. While the system has a portfolio component that is attractive to students, the real focus of STEPS is the assessment of student assignments (part of normal course work) that is linked to program learning goals or student learning outcomes.
