The Foundations for Open Scholarship Strategy Development's document sets-forth the "knowledge of practices" and "knowledge of values" of the Open Scholarship Movement. Open Scholarship is defined as "the process, communication, and reuse of research as practiced in any scholarly research, and its inclusion and role within wider society."(Weller 2014, Veletsianos and Kimmons,2016 and McKierman 2017). The aim of this document is to agree on a broad international strategy for the implementation of Open Scholarship that meets the needs of different national and regional communities but works globally.
