It was a bit difficult for me to follow this presentation since I could not get the multimedia to work, and much of the speakers’ notes were abbreviated. However, on slide 10, I believe that the presentation successfully defends FIRST® LEGO® League as a constructivist learning activity, by highlighting examples of the program’s constructivist elements (i.e., contextual learning, learner control, real world problem solving, and knowledge construction.) I would have like to have seen more tie-in between these elements and constructivism, but perhaps that was in the multimedia or speakers’ notes that was unavailable.
