Situation: You are starting a new country on an island because World War 3 is about to break out between a few countries. Luckily, you are wealthy and purchased an island. It is far from where the war will be occurring; you will be pretty safe there for many years. Location of Island: Equal distance from the equator and the poles. It’s as large as the United States, not including Alaska. It’s already growing many plants and trees, and it contains a few shelters. No human lives there, just various animals. Before Relocation: Beyond packing up your own things, ordering lumber and other supplies to be delivered, and having a going away party, you also need to choose who can join you on your island. People have applied to join your new country. Their 15 Profiles are listed elsewhere online; they are all unmarried and without children. You will choose 10 that will be allowed to live and work in your new country. Shortfolio Requirements: Argue why you chose who you chose the 10 you chose in a 500+ worded essay. OR argue why you didn’t choose the five left behind in a 500+ worded essay. You are required to have at least three reasons. No sources necessary for this project.
