 This is an interactive tool in which students can explore the phases of the eukaryotic cell cycle, the checkpoints that regulate its progression, and the roles of the cell cycle in health and disease. Short descriptions, illustrations, and animations are used to explain key concepts and to provide examples of why regulating the cell cycle is important. The modular nature of this interactive makes it adaptable to all levels of high school biology and introductory college biology. Two accompanying worksheets can be used to document students' exploration of the content at different depths, based on course requirements.
