When Franklin and his crew of 128 men left the United Kingdom, they were the best-equipped expedition ever sent into the Canadian Arctic with the most powerful ships, the latest technology and supplied with food for three years. Last seen heading into Lancaster Sound from the west coast of Greenland, the expedition’s two ships and their crew disappeared. What happened to the Franklin Expedition? To investigate this mystery, site users are encouraged to come up with their own interpretations of primary documents, rather than relying on other people’s analyses. Users can check experts’ interpretations of the Franklin Expedition Mystery.
