The Engineering Technology (ET) Degree
The Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FL-ATE) and the Florida Department of Education Division of Workforce Education worked together to develop the Engineering Technology Degree program to help rectify the growing need of engineering technology professionals in the manufacturing and high technology industries. The degree program offers classes on computer-aided drafting, electronics, instrumentation and testing, processes and materials, and quality and safety. These classes are the focus of the program because they comply with the standards of the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Portable Production Technician Certification. This Associates Degree was built specifically to transfer seamlessly into a Bachelors degree or B.S.E.T degree granting institution. This website offers a complete list of Florida community colleges offering this comprehensive degree program as well as more information on furthering ones education beyond an associates degree.
