The Welding Industry: Trends and Challenges in Education and Training
The National Center for Welding Education and Training (Weld-Ed) is using this resource to address the future professional needs of the welding industry. This organization has undertaken research in order to assess the needed supply of workers entering the field. Weld-Ed commissioned additional research to: help describe second/post-secondary educational requirements for welding; report estimates of program enrollments; and report estimates of apprentice programs for welding/related trades. This lengthy pdf addresses fundamental issues for the future of the welding industry.
