Composite Column Design/Test Lab

This laboratory exercise focuses on columns made of composite materials. Students will "simulate composite columns and use a smart spreadsheet to help optimize their design for engineering performance, including �specific� properties." The activity is appropriate for undergraduate college students. This is a project-based activity, and should take 2-3 weeks to complete. This document will serve as a framework for instructors and may be downloaded in PDF format.
