AMATYC (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges) is the only organization exclusively devoted to providing a national forum for the improvement of mathematics instruction in the first two years of college. AMATYC provides professional development opportunities for educators interested in the first two years of collegiate mathematics instruction through an annual conference, summer institutes, traveling workshops, publications and projects. Here, visitors will find AMATYC's position statement on Equal Opportunity in Mathematics. In this short statement, readers can learn what AMATYC supports and their recommendations for addressing the need for equal opportunity to be provided to all students regardless of age, physical challenge, gender, race, or ethnicity.
