Mystery in Alaska: Why Have All the Sea Lions Gone?

This interdisciplinary case study looks at the importance of energy considerations within food chains using the example of Steller sea lions along the western Alaska coast. The lesson could be used in high school or undergraduate coursework, specifically in conjunction with biology or ecology curriculum. The case study and teaching notes may be downloaded in PDF format.
