This activity was designed for blind learners, but all types of learners can model how vibrating particles, such as in a sound wave, bump into other particles causing them to vibrate, and that the vibrations travel. The chain reaction of sound waves will be demonstrated using old video cassettes (in a way similar to a dominoes game). Learners with visual impairments as well as sighted learners will have the chance to create tactile diagrams of varying wave frequencies. The activity includes setting up the row of tapes at various ��_frequencies,��� closer together for higher frequency, farther apart for lower.
