POP!World is a web-based simulation to teach population genetics by observing the outcomes of genetic variation over the span of n number of generations. Students will gain an understanding of the outcomes of evolutionary forces (migration, non-random mating, genetic drift, mutation, and selection). Because evolution is rarely suited to a traditional bench lab environment, these topics are best demonstrated through computer simulation.
