AP Investigative labs: An inquiry-base Approach Lab 3: Comparing DNA Sequences to Understand Evolutionary Relationships with BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool)

In this lab, students use BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) to compare several genes, and then use the information to construct a cladogram (also called a phylogenetic tree) to depict the evolutionary relatedness of species.
