MEMS Accelerometer Lab Activity
The MEMS Accelerometer Lab Activity was developed by Ui Luu as part of NetWorks National Externship Program for faculty. The lab activity studies the force and impact data collected from a MEMS Accelerometer, same as the device used in automobiles to launch a safety airbag. Upon completion of this activity, students will be able to define: acceleration, force, mass, Newton's Second Law of Motion, and Newton's Third Law of Motion. They will also be able to run data acquisition systems and use graphing tools to perform data analysis. This is a great resource for student and educators in a physics and simply science classroom.
