This hands-on classroom activity will help students understand the connections between magnets and electricity generation. The learning cycle planner includes an exploration phase with a hands-on activity and a suggested video. The concept development phase suggests showing the film "Who Killed the Electric Car?" The main part of this learning unit is the electromagnet lesson, which is a two day small group activity in which students will create an electromagnet.
