An Introduction to Newtonian Mechanics
Created by Edward Kluk of Dickinson State University, this web site provides course materials for an introductory mechanics class. Topics covered include: kinematics, forces, energy, and momentum. Each page features a Java applet illustrating a concept with text and activities accompanying it. The author has created this site because, as he states: "Nowadays it becomes more likely to find in colleges and high schools good computers hooked up to Internet than well equipped physics labs. As a matter of fact applets can be installed and used locally, without Internet connection, which makes it even cheaper." For this reason, and others, this is a useful site for any physics instructor.
