Modeling Mechanical Subsystems of the Hybrid Electric Transmission

This lab is part of the course "Intro to Mechatronics" at Lawrence Technological University and was developed through seed funding from the CAAT. In the lab students are introduced to the use of planetary gearsets and their application to hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) transmissions. Students are first familiarized with the planetary gearset equation and then use MAT Lab software to visualize the relationship between input data and the resulting output torque and speed through the gear set. All MAT Lab files are included and will require a text editor to open the .m file format.
