A power point presentation to introduce concepts related to synthetic Aperture Radar techniques, it  can be used by teachers as part of their course material in teaching radar techniques.  

Starting from introducing fundamentals of Radar, the presentation deals with concepts of RCS, Scatter Coeffecient and back scatter in relation to  Radar resolution. Later relationship of Doppler effect to  Azimuth and Swath resolution is explained which form the basis for SAR.  Very good photos of Airborne and Spaceborne radars give an overall perspective on the subject.

 Usefulness of SAR to remote sensing is introduced as the next step.The importance of coherence and pulse compression techniques in practical remote sensing are explained lucidly in this section.Practical spects about Calibration , Speckle,Multi-look in this section would be very useful for professionals. 

 Last section looks at the state of Art techniques in SAR. Images obtained from ScanSAR, Stripmap and TOPSAR give very interesting insghts.

 The material is very  informative  and can be easily integrated into a course material on Radar  Techniques.
