This material is a syllabus and assignments for a course on American music-- it is not material meant for student use. Unlike some other MIT Open Courseware sites, it does not include any lecture videos or other instructional content. It could be useful for faculty looking for models for structuring a course or ideas for supplementary materials, but the textbook and supplementary materials used in the syllabus are not open.
