The concepts and information presented in this module are valid and developed from references used in the teaching profession. Key processes are presented in sequential manner so scaffolding of content can occur for the user. Content is presented and anchored by learning objectives. There is a learning activity for the user to complete and then more content followed by another activity with a summary at the end of each section. This module has three main sections--Introduction, Reflective Teaching Practice, and Teaching Portfolio.

Through a variety of activities, users will consider the importance of reflective teaching practice, identify strategies for articulating a personal teaching philosophy, explore tools for collecting and archiving evidence of their teaching practice in the form of a teaching portfolio, and brainstorm opportunities for continued professional development. There are six learning objectives, three each for the two content sections in the module. They are:

Describe concrete strategies for critically considering one's own approach to teaching and the ways in which that approach impacts learners
Cateogrize elements of the CEDP program according to Brookfield's lenses of critical reflection.

Briefly, describe the specific artifcact that will comprise your Teaching Portfolio

The design of the module is clear and self-contained. Tabs at the top left indicate menu, resources, and transcripts (of presentation). The menu lists every specific section covered in the presentation. The menu items are hyper-linked for quick viewing or reviewing of any part of the module content at any time. The resources provide pertinent downloadable documents, references, and a print version of the entire module. Users are able to pause the presentation or move forward or backward as needed.
The site is easy to use, take breaks, and pick up where you left off. Choice is encouraged and there are self-checks.
