Chapter 1
Hi there!
Let’s hop into the wonderful world of rabbits! 🐰
Rabbits are soft, sweet, and full of personality. They’re mammals, just like us — and they can make wonderful furry friends for kids. Let’s learn more about what makes them special.
Rabbits are small animals with:
Long ears (sometimes longer than their heads!)
Big back feet for hopping
A fluffy tail like a cotton ball
Sharp teeth that never stop growing!
They belong to a group of animals called lagomorphs (lah-go-morfs). That’s a funny word, isn’t it? 🐾
Wild rabbits live all around the world — in meadows, forests, deserts, and even snowy mountains! But the rabbits we keep as pets are domestic rabbits. That means they were raised by humans to be gentle, friendly, and happy living in homes.
