Libraries: Sanctuaries for Learning for All

The library at Tilak Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Kallidaikurichi is set to undergo a comprehensive renovation. In a collaborative effort, JSDC, along with their esteemed partner MERLOT from the USA, have formally signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to undertake this initiative. The primary objective of this project is not only to revitalize the physical space but also to cultivate a robust culture of reading among students and staff alike. By enhancing the library facilities and resources, the aim is to significantly increase footfall and engagement, fostering an environment that encourages lifelong learning and intellectual exploration.
The Library Renovation Project focuses on cultivating a reading culture among students through a phased approach. The project is structured into three main phases: restoring sanctity, classification, and digitalization. These phases aim to create an inviting space with improved ventilation, organize books systematically, and integrate technology for enhanced accessibility.
