The KHCC MENA OER Leadership Council is composed of experts and managers from a variety of organizations, institutions, and business that are collaborating to achieve a shared vision for cancer diagnosis, treatment, training, research, and education. The Leadership Council members are also members of committees who focus on critical elements of the complex strategy.

The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit, national foundation founded in 2001 by Royal Decree and headed by HRH Princess Ghida Talal.
HRH Princess Ghida presides over all management functions and operations of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC) along with a board of trustees comprised of a dedicated group of prominent volunteers who are experts in the fields of health, economy and finance.

Our Vision: KHCF is dedicated to saving lives with the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care and control and engaging society in the fight against cancer in Jordan, and the region.
Our Mission
- Providing the best comprehensive care for cancer patients in Jordan and the Middle East.
- Raising awareness about the importance of early detection and cancer prevention.
- Providing nonprofit cancer insurance for treatment at the KHCC.
- Performing scientific research for the purpose of lowering mortality rates and alleviating the suffering brought on by cancer.
- Fundraising to support KHCC’s mission.

The Open Health Systems Laboratory (OHSL) is a public benefit corporation that builds, supports and manages project teams to improve research and diagnosis outcomes. We have technical expertise in utilizing the latest developments in information technology, namely informatics, communication, natural language processing, and data collection and mining to bring solutions to our clients.
Our knowledge of the U.S. federal research grants and contracts process, and our extensive global network and access to top researchers throughout the world has helped deliver better access to health care services and has improved research outcomes to our customers.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor in 2014, California State University and MERLOT designed and implemented the national, open library of workforce programming and training materials called SkillsCommons at www.skillscommons.org. The SkillsCommons library is open for educators, workforce development staff, human resources staff, and individual workers and provides free and easy access to the innovative training materials across a wide variety of industry sectors that can be adopted and adapted for the local use.
in 1997, The Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT, www.merlot.org) is an international cooperative formed for the purpose of aggregating and making freely accessible high quality online resources to improve learning and teaching within higher education. MERLOT’s organization and services are administered by the California State University and connect higher education systems, consortiums, and institutions, professional societies and organizations of academic disciplines, corporations, and individual members to form a community of people who strive to enrich the teaching and learning experiences with technologies.
MERLOT provides:
- An open, online catalog of thousands of online learning materials.
- Quality assurance processes for the evaluating the learning materials
- Open community tools for its members to manage and personalize their use of MERLOT resources and services
- A directory of people with common interests in teaching and learning with online materials across a wide range of disciplines
- Technologies for customizing services for our partners
- Professional development services for our partners
- User-friendly authoring tools to create open educational resources
- Leadership opportunities for individuals and institutional to put educational innovations into practice
