Two Upcoming Books of Case Studies!

As part of our NSF-funded Research Coordination Network Leveraging, Enhancing and Developing Biology (LED-BIO) Scientific Societies Shedding Light on Persistent Cultural Challenges, we are under-contract with Lexington Books, a publisher affiliated with Rowman & Littlefield, to publish two books that will showcase case studies of scientific and professional societies building more inclusive disciplines and communities. The two books are under preparation now and expected to be published in 2025.

The first book, tentatively titled Case Studies in Building Inclusive STEM Communities and Leadership: A Scientific and Professional Society Perspective, will focus on ways in which these organizations foster diverse leadership ranks and organizational culture. This book will be co-edited by Verónica Segarra, Mercy Mugo, and Simone Soso. The Table of Contents for this first book can be found below.
