Topic 6: UDL and Course Delivery Mode

While the UDL-based design process can be applied to all instructional delivery formats, this topic’s focus is on applying UDL principles to the course design of blended and online classes. By using a design process that explicitly integrates UDL, educators can support all learners online, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and other students who experience challenges while learning.

Topic Learner Outcomes: 

  1. Explain how UDL is implemented in the course design for blended and online delivery. 
  2. Apply UDL principles to the course design of a blended and online class.   
  3. Examine ways to develop educator expertise in UDL for blended and online delivery.
