Dr. Monique Earl Lewis:

Dr. Monique Earl-Lewis is an Associate Professor of Africana Studies/Chair of the Department of Africana Studies and History and the Founding Director of the Faculty Development., Teaching and Advising Center at Morehouse College and teaches interdisciplinary courses in Africana Studies, the Freshmen Year Experience and Psychology. She received her PhD in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology; a Master of Science in Counseling and Behavioral Studies from the University of South Alabama; and a bachelors in Speech Communication from Auburn University.Ā 


Her applied research praxis focuses on learning organizations, rooted identity, and integrative techno-cultural-pedagogical practice to advance social justice and equity through active communities of learning and authentic participation.



Dr. Clarissa West-White:

Dr. Clarissa West-White is a Reference Librarian/Instructor at Bethune Cookman University, where she began as an Assistant Professor of English. She holds degrees in Creative Writing, Curriculum & Instruction, and Information. She’s a recent alumnus of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture Robert Frederick Smith Internship and Fellowship, Key West Literary Seminar, Digital POWRR Institute, OER for HBCU Academic Librarians Summit, and NISO Plus. Ā She’s married to Dr. Headley White, and they have two sons, Henson and Houston.Ā 


Dr. Arletha McSwain:


Dr. Arletha McSwain has over 25 years of exemplary higher education teaching and administration experience. She has served as Project Director for federal grants totaling over 5 million dollars. She is well versed in online compliance, i.e., SACSCOC, NCSARA, United States Learning Association (USDLA), and the National Accreditation & Equivalency Council of The Bahamas (NAECOB). She has a thorough knowledge of online course design, development and pedagogy, faculty development, staff training, and student assessment. She has 15 years serving as Project Director for Title III and is a certified Title IX Coordinator and Title IX Investigator.


Dr. Monique Earl-Lewis

Dr. Monique Earl-Lewis is an organizational psychologist and multicultural educator. She is an Associate Professor of African American Studies the inaugural Director of the Faculty Development, Teaching and Advising Center at Morehouse College. Serving in that capacity, she also provides direct support for faculty regarding the utilization of effective pedagogies and instructional and research applications involving new and emerging technologies. Dr. Earl-Lewis has over 25 years of professional experience in higher education as a professor, program director, evaluator, and academic advisor.

She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. Subsequently, She earned the Masters of Science in Behavioral Studies & Counseling from the University of South Alabama and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.


Dr. Veronica Douglas McEachin

Dr. Veronica Douglas McEachin, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, is a highly motivated and energetic individual who received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. McEachin continued her studies at Kansas State University, where she earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology and Multicultural Education. She currently serves as the Director of E-Learning at Southern University at Shreveport. Her extensive background includes Director of Academic Information Technology, Chair of the Division of Natural and Computational Sciences, Interim Director of Sponsored Programs, and Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Wiley College; She has also served as an Adjunct Instructor for Wichita State and Houston Community College. Dr. McEachin worked for the City of Shreveport as a Housing Coordinator. She began her career as a Data Processing Analyst for Shell Oil Company.

Dr. Arrighi:

Professor and Education Technology coordinator in the Department of Teaching & Learning at Tennessee State University. Arrighi also curriculum specialist for the National Center of Smart Technology, adjunct professor for Trevecca Nazarene University, and online instructor for the Tennessee Board of Regents – TNeCampus (including 8 years as a faculty mentor). She served as a senior member of the National Education Association’s Content Quality & Review board which recommended online professional development courses to the NEA Academy, and taught five years as an educator for Metro-Nashville Public Schools.

Recognized as a 2017 ATHENA Young Professional nominee and 2015 Women of Distinction in the field of education, Arrighi trains teachers and students on how to incorporate technology within the classroom, presents nationally and internationally on topics such as classroom management, Millennial learners, and digital citizenship, and continues to work diligently in her field preparing pre-professional educators for teaching, learning, and advocacy of children and public education. Her higher education online training and consulting involved several historically black institutions, K-12 school districts, and internationally in England, Senegal, and most recently the United Nations (UNESCO) 2014 mobile learning week.

As a member of International Forum for Women in eLearning, Phi Delta Kappa, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and other professional organizations, Arrighi encourages mentoring and networking as a means of building community, developing citizenship and responsibility, and promoting a society in which everyone's role is valued.

Arrighi has one child, Giselle. They reside in the Nashville, TN. 


Dr. Hassel:

Dr. Robert O'Keefe Hassell is a native of Lebanon, Tennessee. He attended Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee where he graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English. Dr. Hassell went on to pursue Graduate Studies at Tennessee State University where he obtained a Master's in Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Education Technology. Subsequently, he earned a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Curriculum Planning from the Department of Teaching and Learning at Tennessee State University. He is also a Certified Apple Teacher.

Dr. Hassell has maintained a highly successful career in Higher Education since 2009. Currently, he works as Learning Support Staff-Writing at Tennessee State University. Additionally, he is a Professor of Humanities (English-Literature) and the Title III Writing Center Coordinator for Student Success at American Baptist College. Dr. Hassell is a Certified Holistic Life Coach via the Radiant Health Institute, LLC. (Bellevue, TN). Additionally, he is one of the featured African-American male coaches in the Greater Nashville -Metropolitan area. He is the author of 5 books to date. Dr. Hassell is the Lead Pastor of The Summit Church Nashville.



Wendelyn Inman, Ph.D.  MPH Program Director 

Dr. Inman offers expertise in understanding and translating medical and scientific information related to outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics such as the COVID-19 pandemic.  She served on a national level as a consultant to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on such infectious agents as HIV/AIDS; to the U.S. Census Bureau on race and ethnicity; and as a Consultant to the White House under the Clinton Administration.  She is an intervention expert who works with the faith-based community on projects directly addressing health disparities.  Dr. Inman has served as the Director of the Office of Health Policy and as the Chief of Epidemiology for the State of Tennessee within the Department of Health, directing infectious disease control activities such as health promotion, disease prevention, breast cancer reduction, immunization promotion, and tuberculosis reduction.  She currently serves as a national consultant in examining pandemic recovery.  As a public health professional, she is passionate about protecting the health of vulnerable communities.  She provides information on lifestyle and community adaptations based on her knowledge as a medical microbiologist. 



 


Imani Capri:

Imani Capri is an experienced motivational speaker, award-winning writer, published author, and on-air radio personality on a mission to elevate the voices of women and girls, and to inspire audiences across the world to get in relationship with their inner courage, power and greatness.

Ms. Capri currently hosts two radio shows on 95.9 FM WOVU Cleveland. Conversations in Courage with Imani Capri airs on Tuesdays at 11 am EST and Truth Be Told airs on Thursdays at 7pm EST. She has been published multiple times in The Canton Repository Newspaper, nationally distributed Buddhist publications Living Buddhism Magazine and The World Tribune Newspaper, on the website of  the Chicago based Faces and Voices Project, and  as a contributing author in Things We Haven’t Said: Survivors of Sexual Violence Speak,  published in March 2018 with Zest Books. 

Part of Ms. Capri's personal story of empowerment will also be featured in Hunger for The Hustle, a book slated for publication in 2021.

As a recent, featured speaker on Les Brown and Jon Talarico's Power Voice Summit 2020, Imani's message is simple: When you have the courage to heal and transform yourself, you can heal and transform the world!

Dr. Candice Storey Lee

Dr. Candice Storey Lee is the current director of athletics for Vanderbilt University. Lee attended college at Vanderbilt, where she played on the school's women's basketball team, suffering two major injuries.[1] She is a triple alumna of the university, having received a bachelor's degree, a master's degree in counseling, and a doctorate in higher education administration there.


Gwendolyn Denise Berry (born June 29, 1989) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the hammer throw. Her mark of 77.78 m (255 ft 2 in) on June 8, 2018, ranks her #6 on the all time list. She also holds the world record in the weight throw with a mark of 25.60 m (83 ft 11+3⁄4 in) set in March 2017.[1] She is a three-time national champion in the weight throw at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. She was the gold medalist in the hammer at the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival. She is also the 2019 Pan American Games Champion.


Chandra Danette Cheeseborough (later Shellman, born January 10, 1959) is a retired American sprinter. Cheeseborough broke onto the international track scene at age 16 by winning two gold medals at the 1975 Pan American Games, taking the 200 m in an American record time of 22.77 seconds. In 1976, she set the World junior record at 11.13 seconds by placing second at the U.S. Olympic trials, she then placed sixth in that event at the Montreal Olympic Games.

Alicia Johnson:

Alicia Johnson, CSQA is a Lead Test Automation Developer with nine years of experience designing and developing test code to support quality assurance efforts in the insurance and financial service industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in Computer Science and is a Certified Software Quality Analyst. In her spare time, when she is not spending time with family and friends, you can find her lifting, cubing, or making candles.
