Work Experience
Bob’s Gym: May 2021 - PRESENT
At Bob’s Gym, I am a front desk employee. This means I am one of the first people see when they come into the gym. I want to make sure everyone walking into the gym, whether it is their very first time or hundredth time, that they feel welcome and excited to exercise. The front desk helps people get information on the gym and what services we can provide to have a healthy lifestyle. I help people know where equipment and exercise rooms are located through tours. Working at the front desk is not just about signing people in, it is really focused on setting a welcoming environment and keeping everyone informed about the gym.
American Eagle: December 2018 - 2021
My role at American Eagle was to help customers find clothes and answer questions about our inventory. There are countless styles and colors, so it was important for me to help a customer find the perfect fit. It is also a huge team effort in retail because there needs to be constant communication between the workers to know which customers have been helped and which may be needing help. Retail also allowed me to learn more organizational skills, as it is extremely important to keep the store clean and organized to provide a better shopping experience.
Babysitting: May 2017 - 2019
As a babysitter, parents were trusting me with the safety and care of their children. Babysitting gave me the opportunity to have greater patience and understanding of the needs of children. I had to take on a caregiver role and make sure the children felt comfortable having me watch over them. It gave me the chance to show responsibility towards the parents and respect and trust from the children. I helped the children with homework and cooked them nutritious meals.
