About Math Navigator

Many Benefits For Students, Teachers, and Administrators

Math Navigator, already used by millions of students around the world, has been developed by Gooru, an educational non-profit organization and partner of MERLOT and SkillsCommons for the past 3 years.

1. Math Navigator helps learners develop the foundational knowledge, skills, and thought processes required to be successful in math from Grades 2 to 12, while also preparing them for more advanced mathematics and STEM study.

2. Math Navigator covers Common Core competencies for 2-12th-grade math, including Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Each competency has a full spectrum of learning activities, resources, and assessments, including digital and offline resources, machine-graded formative assessments, free response questions, worked solutions, and offline rubric-graded projects.

3  Learners are empowered as they master foundational math knowledge and skills and practice agency in their learning. Math Navigator also enhances the role of the rest of the learning ecosystem, providing real-time data and research-based learning tools to successfully differentiate teaching and coaching.

4.  Math Navigator can be used to identify and fill specific foundational gaps in math and to extend knowledge to ensure that all learners are at or above grade-level.

5. Instructors have access to real-time data on individual learners and tools to support efficient and effective individualized instruction.

6. Administrators can track learning in real-time, to personalize interventions and monitor trends of successes and struggles across classrooms, schools, and districts. Learning outcomes can be measured against school, district, and institution goals.
