Summary of Course Portfolio:
My course portfolio includes various products I worked on during my time at Duke University School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease for my internship. Two products that were addressed in my internship proposal was a literature review, as well as data analysis using statistical software are included in this portfolio along with other various products I provided for my internship agency.
SARS-CoV-2 Environmental Contamination Literature Review:
Upon reviewing existing literature on environmental contamination of SARS-CoV-2, specifically in hospital settings, it helped pave the way into further projects I assisted with during my internship at Duke University School of Medicine. This product helped me gain a better understanding of the projects I was later involved with including publications and my own research in the lab.
N95 COVID-19 Study Standard Operation of Procedures:
For the N95 mask surrogate study, I wrote the SOP for the study staff to utilize before and during the study to ensure study tasks were completed in the same way each time.
Oxivir Residue and COVID-19 Standard Operation of Procedures:
The study staff has been wanting to analyze the oxivir TB wipes salt residue that is often seen positive patient rooms that has been disinfected to see the efficacy of the residue itself. I had the honor the seeing the production of a study in the lab first hand, and I was able to play a big role in the study itself. I developed the SOP of this study, as well as start on my own manuscript for publication.
Final presentation for MPH 6905 Applied Field Placement:
My final presentation includes the MPH competencies that I achieved, major project outcomes, and the products I developed for the agency during my internship.
Co-Author of SARS-CoV-2 environmental contamination study:
Co-Author Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae contamination study:

Data Analysis for Table 1 of CRE Sink Study:
I was tasked to conduct the data analysis in the SAS software for the abstract submission of the CRE Sink Study, as well as included as a co-author. This product helped me gained more experience with data analysis, as well as data interpretation. The link below displays the Table 1 with the results of the analysis, and the SAS code generated during the analysis.
Gram Staining Standard Operation of Procedures:
Throughout my internship, we often used test specimens from various cultures in the lab and used gram staining methods to view the micro bacteria on slides under the microscope. I created an SOP for this procedure to assist future individuals in the lab to understand the steps for gram staining.
